  • Do I need to have an AirTable account to use this template?
    Yes. After purchasing your template and accessing it for the first time, you'll be prompted to set up a free AirTable account or sign into an existing account.

    It really depends on your own personal preference and use-case as to whether or not the free plan will be sufficient.

    I personally prefer to use this system with AirTable's paid team plan, but it can absolutely be used with a free plan too!

    What I love most about the paid team plan is that you're given much more storage space which can add up quickly when you're uploading graphics (and even more so with reels/video content). I prefer to keep past months content within the system as well so it's important to me to be able to have adequate storage space.

    With the paid plans, you can also then send automated emails to ANYONE - not just those collaborating on the backend of the content calendar/planning system. (you and your team) This allows me to set up automated emails to those who may not be directly inside the space to collaborate but would like to be looped in on things. I also love that the paid plans allow you to organize your various "views" into sections which makes things nice and tidy and easy to organize/find certain views. You can also add team member-specific views as well if that makes sense for your use-case which is handy.

    When you're first getting started, I recommend starting out with the free plan as you get the space customized and begin actively using it. Then, you can either upgrade right away or wait until AirTable notifies you of low storage space and make the switch then!
  • How do I collaborate with others on content?
    You can choose who exactly you want to have access to the content calendar directly and how much access they have (Will they need to comment/update statuses or do they just need to simply be able to "view" the space? View-only collaborators do not count towards your total seats charged on the paid plans.)

    Once you've decided who needs access, you simply invite them to the base which is demonstrated for you in the tutorial I've provided inside of the template. If you choose to have this be a team-only space, you can create an "Interface" that is client-facing where you can control how much of the information they say to keep it as clean, simple and easy to navigate as possible. You get to choose!

    Once you have others inside the base with you, these are a few of my favorite ways to collaborate:
    ✓ Improved Collaboration - Reduce confusion and missed deadlines with the incredible features that have been built into this template with teams in mind. You can tag each other in notes, comments, and set up automated emails or Slack notifications to keep everyone looped in.

    ✓ Status Updates & Chat Features Simply update the status of a particular post to keep everyone in the know on its progress and the next steps needed. You can also simply drop comments and notes to check in as needed on individual posts/content.

    ✓ Clear Graphic Reviewing Take advantage of the ability to highlight specific areas of a graphic when leaving comments so that you (or your teammate/client) can provide clear, helpful feedback and revision requests which will reduce confusion and the potential need for continued back-and-forth revisions/requests.

    ✓ Automations Improve efficiency and create a smooth process by using automation features that allow you to send emails or Slack messages when there are items ready for review, scheduling, etc.
  • What type of content or files can be stored in the AirTable?
    You can upload and easily view JPEGs, PNGs, GIFs, TIFFs, WebPs, PDFs, DOCs, PPTs, XLSs, and basic text files as attachments in AirTable.

    While you can absolutely upload audio and mp4 video files, Airtable relies on browsers to play these and is limited by what they support. I have found that video files viewed using Chrome must be downloaded first to view, however, using Safari browser will allow you to access the video or audio files directly inside of your AirTable space.
